About Us

  • Founded in August 2019, the Chambers County Children's Museum is a non-profit organization with a Board of Directors comprised of 9 community leaders who are passionate about bringing play-centered learning to Chambers County. The explosive growth of the area, primarily made of young families, is driving the need for more family and kid-centered activities and programs. The Chambers County Children's Museum strives to fill that need by bringing unparalleled exhibits and experiences to the area.

In November of 2019, the group partnered with the new owners of the old Thrif-Tee Food Center on Eagle Drive for a free lease. Currently, the organization is undergoing an extensive analysis of the current state of the building and working with contractors to determine the specifics of renovations.

I’m so inspired when I see their little “lightbulbs” turn on when they are experiencing or learning something new. I see the value of those experiences both inside and outside of the classroom and it is my goal to turn their education into a love of learning. That is the focus of the Children’s Museum. To come along side parents and teachers in this formative age and supplement the children’s learning in a play-centered way. I am the President of the Board of Directors and I can’t wait to bring the Children’s Museum from ideation to grand opening.”
