Field Trips

  • Unforgettable Field Trips!

Field trips are a fantastic way to enjoy innovation and exploration together with your organization. We have 2 styles of Field trips: Create and Play where Museum Staff lead a customized story and craft, and Free Play where students enjoy a self directed time at the museum.

Field Trips are grouped into 1 of 2 categories based on number of students.

A ratio of 1 adult per every 7 children is required. Field Trips are 2 hours in length.

  • What to Expect on your Field Trip:

We are excited for your upcoming trip to The Chambers County Children’s Museum. Here is what to expect on the day of your visit.

    We are located at:
    10955 Eagle Drive Suite A
    Mont Belvieu, TX 77523

    Arriving:
Please send your point of contact to the front desk first to check in. You may begin unloading buses while check in is happening. We will let parents in first to allow them to begin ticket purchases and check in those that have already purchased tickets in advance. Once students are inside the facility your field trip can begin. Buses are welcome to park beside Eagle Drive or behind the facility.

    Exploring:

    • If you picked the PLAY field trip, you can explore the museum at your convenience. The Museum interior is set up as a Main Street with store fronts around the Oil and Natural Gas Park. We also have an outdoor play area, Recess!, for you to enjoy during your visit with us (weather permitting).
    • If you picked the CREATE and PLAY field trip, we will begin the CREATE portion first and then the PLAY will be after it. For larger field trips, classes will rotate through our meeting rooms to complete the CREATE portion. Times will be assigned to each class to help ensure every class participates.
    • We have plenty of restrooms (with changing tables) available, and a water fountain/filling station for your convenience. No food or drink is allowed in the museum – only resealable drink containers of water are allowed.
    • Our Toy Store will be open during your trip so that your group can secure a momento of the day! Items range in price from $2-$50. The Gift Shop accepts cash and credit cards ($5 minimum on cards).

    Wrapping Up:
When there is 15 minutes left of your field trip, we will dim the lights then immediately bring them back on. This will give you the opportunity to straighten your area and reconvene with your group. Please be mindful of your 2 hour time slot. We must adhere to our schedule to prepare for our next guests.
