The Chambers County Children’s Museum is committed to hiring excellent staff members to execute our mission of inspiring discovery through innovative experiences and hands on play. The museum is currently under construction, with an opening slated for spring 2023. The organization is a 501c3 non-profit, governed by a Board of Directors of 12 community leaders.

+Program Director: Full Time Position – Accepting Resumes through December 30th, 2022

Position Overview: CCCM seeks an experienced professional to foster a dynamic, engaging and accessible educational environment. Reporting to the Museum’s Executive Director, the Program Director will be responsible for developing programming, working with outside vendors for additional programming, and managing events such as birthday parties and field trips. This is a ground floor opportunity, with a hybrid working model and flexible work hours and environment. Salary range $42-$47k commensurate with experience.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years experience working in museums or in professional educational settings
• Experience in developing and implementing programming and curriculum
• Ideal candidate will be a highly organized self starter with excellent communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
Programming
• Conduct marketing research of our communities’ needs
• Utilize research data to develop categories of programming
• Design programming including classes, seasonal activities, and camps.
• Develop partnerships with outside vendors and organizations to expand programs
• Develop and implement a system to evaluate the effectiveness of museum programs
• Organize and schedule guest speakers to enhance museum programs and exhibits

Museum Events
• Develop relationships with local ISDs to design field trips that support TEKS criteria
• Market Museum for field trips to ISDs, private schools, Scouting and homeschool groups
• Cooordinate rentals (event/private etc) & Assist with fundraising efforts
• Manage scheduling, staffing, and coordination of birthday parties, events, and field trips
• Work alongside Executive Director to hire and train hourly staff as well as volunteer recruitment and support.
