Founding Executive Director, Melody Kraus
The Chambers County Children’s Museum is excited to move full speed ahead with the organization’s first hire, an Executive Director. Melody Kraus is an ordained United Methodist Pastor, most recently serving as Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church Mont Belvieu. She is highly regarded in the United Methodist Church system where she has served for the past 15 years in Associate Pastor and Senior Pastor roles.

The population of Chambers County has increased by more than 25% in the last decade bringing in many new young families. It is exciting to be part of an innovative organization that is poised to serve and inspire the children and families of our growing community. The organization’s President, Macy Middleton, shared sentiments. “The Board of Directors and I are thrilled Melody is joining our team. She excels in leadership and community service and is passionate about serving the kids and young families of our great county.”
With this new hire, the Organization is ready to complete the design and permitting phases of the project as well as the launch of a capital campaign, with construction slated to begin in 2022.
